Captain Kenny is reminding you that the Zamboozee is ready and it’s time to book your charter for the upcom-ing salmon, trout, and perch season. When you charter on the Zamboozee, you are go-ing to receive a memorable experience, great hospitality, and fish on one of the clean-est boats on the lake. It comes equipped with every-thing you need to have a great fishing charter.

Captain Kenny recommends that you should book your charter NOW. Because of the mild winter the Coho Salmon Run will be here as early as mid April with the best fishing (Limits) the first few weeks of May. You can look forward to great catches of Coho Salmon, Brown Trout with a mixed bag of Rainbows and Kings. June and July offers Kings, Coho’s, Rainbows and Trout. July, August and September offers a mixed bag of all species.
I highly recommend that you book the morning charter arriving 20 min prior to our departure time. The Afternoon charter is also good in April, May and June. Fishing starts before sunrise– that’s when the fish bite the best! In addition, the views on the lake as the sun is coming over the horizon are breathtaking. The Zamboozee is a state of the art, 32 foot Trojan powered by twin V-8’s that are capibable of running long distances when the schools of fish have moved. The rising cost of fuel will not slow down the Zamboozee or Captain Kenny as we will travel the extra mile to ensure you get what you pay for. The Zam-boozee is state inspected, US Coast Guard Certified, and fully insured. Fishing licenses are available on the boat in addition to expert fish cleaning. With the finest tackle, rods, reels & lures many consider the Zamboozee the best equipped and most productive charter boat on the Great Lakes.

Fishing aboard the Zamboozee can be enjoyed by all ages. Corporate entertaining is a great way to get together with clients and associates to bond for a day of fun on the lake. For groups that wish to entertain more than 6 people (Coast Guard maximum per boat) we can make arrangements with other top charter boats. We can even add a little extra fun and create a type of fishing tournament between multi-boat charters. Taking a charter is also a great way to create family memories.
Get the family together and spend the day out on the lake. Children are al-ways welcome as well as accommodations for handicapped individuals. Don’t forget birthdays, graduations, weddings, and bachelor parties are also ideal get-togethers on the boat. We also cater to the ladies-only char-ter. Just bring your sun tan lotion and a strong arm to reel in the fish. The captain will take care of all the “dirty” work. What ever the occasion, you are sure to have an awesome day out on Lake Michigan!

Starting at 5:00 am or earlier improves your chances of catching more fish. Please show up at least 20 min early to begin your char-ter. Afternoon trips leave the dock around 11:00. We have some flexibility with our scheduling so do not hesitate to ask.

Cancellation Policy: Weather conditions are determined by the captain. Trip cancellation must be made no less than two weeks before the date of reservation. No deposit will be returned if canceled less than two weeks from date of reservation.

Pricing remains the same for a one day Resident License for 2023. A one day license purchase includes a Salmon Stamp needed for your charter.
